When creating a new digital product, it is tempting to focus on what users will see first. At the MVP stage, the goal is often to validate an idea as quickly as possible, launch the product, and learn from real users.
Because of this, design is sometimes approached with a mindset like: “Let’s keep it simple for now. We can refine the design once the product grows.”
The problem is that this decision can create more work later than it saved in the beginning.
A well-designed UI system does not have to be unnecessary overhead at the MVP stage. If it is built to match the size and needs of the product, it can provide a foundation that makes future development much more efficient.
