When developing applications with Django, sooner or later you will face a familiar question: Is Django ORM enough, or should we use raw SQL?
Django ORM allows developers to work with a database through Python without having to write SQL queries manually. For most common operations, it is a fast, readable, and safe way to interact with a database.
However, there are situations where we need more control over what happens at the database level. That is where raw SQL can make sense.
It is not a battle between ORM and SQL. Both approaches have their place. The key is knowing when to use each one.
