Modern applications often do much more than perform a single action after a user clicks a button. Creating an order can trigger payment processing, inventory updates, an email notification, and data being sent to analytics systems.
If an application had to perform all these steps sequentially and synchronously, it could run into performance and availability issues as the workload grows. One way to address this is through Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
